Sealed bids will be received for the Iron Road Subdivision at the Douglas-Coffee County Industrial Authority, 114 Peterson Ave N, Suite 205, Douglas, Georgia 31533 until June 23, 2026 at 11:00 am (Local Time), at which time they will be publicly opened and read.  This is a re-advertisement of a previously cancelled bid due to errors.  Prior plan holders will be accepted and sent new bid packets.

            The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following:  The Construction includes the installation of approximately ± 4,359 LF of 6” PVC C900 water main, ± 5,190 linear feet of 8” SDR 26 sewer trench cut, one (1) submersible duplex pump station with ±1,179 LF of 4” PVC force main, new roadway with ±6,456 SY of 8” GAB, ±710 TNS of 9.5mm Superpave asphalt, ±9,426 LF of curb and gutter, ±1,285 LF of 18” RCP, ±1,495 LF of 24” RCP, ±464 LF of 30” RCP, ±183 LF of 36” RCP, ±23 catch basins, and all roadway and drainage improvement construction necessary for the completion of the neighborhood right of way infrastructure.  This includes all appurtenances necessary to complete the job.

            All work on the Project must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed.  Bid shall be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose, in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Plans and Specifications, which are on file and may be reviewed (by appointment only) at the office of Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 4571 Arkwright Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, or at the Douglas-Coffee County Industrial Authority offices.

            Copies of Bid Forms, Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained from Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., 4571 Arkwright Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, upon deposit of $250 per set (.pdf format).  No refund will be made for returned documents.

No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Douglas-Coffee County Industrial Authority prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder’s Bond, payable to Douglas-Coffee County Industrial Authority, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates.  Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened.

No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Douglas-Coffee County Industrial Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
